It sounds to me you are basing yourself in the wrong city. Wouldn't Kyoto be the better base?

Apart fromJR if we buy a Kansai Area Pass or a Kansai Thru Pass, will be able to cover the whole above stated chart.

Yes, but the pass would never pay off. If you have a Japan Rail Pass, use it to travel between the cities. The fares of the subways and buses inside the cities will not add up to justify a Kansai Thru Pass. Instead, I would consider a prepaid card (Icoca or Surutto Kansai Card) or day passes (e.g. Kyoto 1-day bus pass) for the non-JR transportation.

It also depends on how many days you will be spending in Japan in total.

Hi Uji,
thanks 4 the reply.
We r in Japan for 8days.We enter and exit Japan from Kansai Airport.
Our plans r to be in Osaka for 2nighta and 3 days from where we visit Kyoto and Nara.

We already have purchased the JR pass for 7days as our 2nd leg of our Journey is tokyo where we r for 3nights and 4days.

But our question is whether JR pass is sufficient 2 cover the above places in our chart or should we buy any other pass.

Regarding the choice of Osaka as our base was to take the evening walk along the Dontobori
area.
