We will be visiting Kamakura from Tokyo for a day in early November. Can you see everything on your own without a guide? Is it just a wlaking tour?
How much time one should allow?

Not sure what you meant by "everything". Kamakura has a lot of things to see.

You can easily spend half a day for a quick visit, or full day to visit alot more areas.
