Day tour to Yabakei Gorge, Oita

We are interested in seeing Yabakei Gorge in Oita. I read that there is a day tour starting from Oita at 8:45 am but need additional information. How long is the tour, areas covered and cost. Appreciate your help.

you can book a tour online. Hankyu-kotsu kousha sells both tour, but the departure from Oita-sta is 7:00am. you've already found 8:30 departure tour, have you? which tour is it? i will check its day-schedule if i could know the information you have.

How to get to here
By regular tour bus
From Oita, Beppu and Nakatsu station, the regular tour bus is operated.
It starts at 8:45 in Oita, at 9:10 in Beppu, and at 10:25 in Nakatsu, and tours around main spots in Yabakei.

The bus tour to Yabakei from Oita @5600 looks interesting. Do we need to make advance reservation or can we book one day in advance when we are in Beppu/Oita area?

No personal experience but according to the webpage reservation and enquiry can be made through the listed phone and fax nos. It seems that you can join on the spot if there are still vacancies on the date of travel.
