Autumn Colours at Nikko Oct 21-22

Is there any update on the autumn colours at Nikko. I am planning a visit Oct 21 or 22. If the colours are not out then it will be a day trip but if the colours are out will make it a two day trip. I note the next report is not scheduled until Oct 22 which would be too late unfortunately.Any update would be appreciated.

It is said that this year the autumn foliage season in Kanko region will arrive a bit later than usual. Koyo in Nikko is expected to be from late Oct to early Nov.
