Day trip to Owakudani & Lake Kawaguchi

Hi, I will be going to Japan in early November with my husband. We will be staying in Shinjuku.

Would like to know more details if we plan to visit Owakudani & Lake Kawaguchi on a day trip.

What's the fastest and cheapest route to visit this 2 places? Details on the transportation...

In just one day it's hard to do unless you rent a car, as it can be a bit tricky to get from one place to the other. My advice is to chose one. I've never been to Owakudani, but Kawaguchiko is quite easy to reach from Shinjuku; there're direct buses, or you can get the train, first to Otsuki and then changing there.

I plan to visit Lake Kawaguchi by end Oct and will travel from Gotemba Station to Kawaguchiko and also use the Retro Bus around the lake, what's the best passport we can use to cover this area (for 2 days)

Do they have the website for the details of these passport ???

However, with only one day I'd also focus on either the Hakone area or Kawaguchiko, not both.
