Any direct bus from Tokyo to Kamikochi? 2012/10/16 04:00
Am arriving in Narita, Tokyo at 9.30 am on 10 November and am considering going straight from Tokyo to Kamikochi on the same day, so that we can spend 3 nights in Kamikochi, 2 in Kanazawa and 3 in Kyoto. Is there a direct bus we can take from Tokyo to Kamikochi? It seems that the Alpico bus company runs such a service, but I could not find information on the route and timings. Alternatively, we are considering hiring a car up to the carpark at the gate of Kamikochi. Would really appreciate some advice. Thank you. Lyn Khoo

BTW why not "Japan Rail Pass"?
via Matsumoto then JR Shinsimashima sta after bus operating to Kamikochi direct.
