If that's too expensive, I don't think you're going to find anything much cheaper... I rented one for 18 days and it was 9500 yen....

I'd just unlock it, but that's up to you.
Are you already in Japan?
Apart from that I don't think you will find many cheaper options.
Can you link or name the company that offered a month for 10,000 yen?

where can i unlock it ?
Google is your friend.
It may require a certain level of technical skill and you may need to jailbreak your phone which may be against your provider's rules and/or cause other issues etc.
Proceed at your own risk! (or just pay the money for Globaladvanced), or decide that you only need it for a certain part of your trip to reduce costs.
Where did you buy your iPhone? Is it with a German carrier? I thought it was easy to buy an iPhone in Germany that was not locked? Maybe ask your carrier (T-mobile?) if it is possible for it to be unlocked?

I'd just unlock it, but that's up to you. It's not quite that simple without knowing the particulars of the phone. You'll either need to have it done by the carrier (not always possible or free), need your own computer to jailbreak and unlock (only possible with certain basebands), or you might be able to use a gevy sim unlocker (again, they don't work with all basebands). But if it is possible then you could get a prepaid sim for your phone and save a little bit of money depending on what your internet needs are. Prepaid cost between 3000 yen (unlimited data, no streaming or voip) to around 10000 yen (1gb cap, streaming and voip allowed). You actually might be best off getting two 14 day visitors sim's which would give you 2gb of data with no bandwidth cap for 8000 yen. http://www.bmobile.ne.jp/lineup.htmlhttp://www.bmobile.ne.jp/english/index.html
