Kyoto Eikando Temple Entrance Fee - Autumn

Hi everyone,
I understand that the daytime entrance fee for Eikando temple is 1000 yen per person and night time entrance is 600 yen.
I will be arriving in Eikando late in the afternoon at around 3:30PM.
My question is - if I pay the 1000 yen daytime entrance fee, can I stay within the Eikando temple until the night time illumunation at 5:30pm without paying additional 600 yen? Or do I need to exit and enter back for night illumnation.
Thanks.

Everybody has to leave the temple in between daytime and illumination openings. It is possible to enter during the daytime until 16:00 and everybody has to leave the grounds by 17:00. From 17:30, admission for the illumination starts. In Japanese: http://www.eikando.or.jp/haikan.htm

I highly recommend going at night, just be prepared for a queue if you go at evening opening time.
Enjoy your trip!
