I will be in Japan for two weeks. I will not be calling much, but I will need the option of doing so. Can any recommend some affordable options. I looked into the website below https://www.lingo.com/voip/mobile/mobile_rates.jspHave anyone tried from there? Is it reliable?

Lingo is not a mobile phone service. They are a voip service which requires an internet connection to work. If you have internet then you'll probably be better off using skype to make calls. Otherwise, a rental phone will probably be better if you need to be reachable when away from a computer.
