Ryokan in Wakura Onsen

Hello, we are late 20s couple visiting Wakura Onsen in February. Could anyone recommend any good ryokan-style accommodation? We will be staying at guesthouses and youth hostels on other nights, so we prefer to stay at some classic ryokan for one night there.
Thanks a lot in advance.

The Kagaya has been voted the best ryokan in Japan for many years in a row. If you can afford it, I recommend it. Be warned, however, that it is a huge, modern complex that may not fit your idea of a "classic ryokan". But the service, rooms and food are outstanding. Despite being huge, the service could be no more personal and friendly: http://www.kagaya.co.jp/en/
