Saihoji Temple (Moss temple) question

Hi! I want to go to Saihoji Temple this July.

My question; do I have to write it in Japanese (kana/kanji), or is English acceptable?

English is fine, just try and not use a confusing date that could be interpreted as dd/mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy.

ie. I would not write 10/7/13

I don't know the correct answer, but in your example I would change it to "July 20, 2013".
