Your welcome. Im glad I was of some help.

Not sure how, or quite what it was about, that's ok. Daves right I need a brain transplant.

Hope everyone is surviving this bad winter.

I hear Yokohama got a huge 10 inches of snow.
Right now we have about 30 inches on the ground here in SE New Hampshire and more on the way.

I loved the video of Sankien Gardens. One of my favorite places.

The Guitar music was very nice, but I am surprised that they didn't use Japanese music like Koto. never the less wonderful.

I hope the snow is gone here by the end of March.

So..
Just when we thought we have seen the "last" of the wonderful renditions of Godzilla.

I learned that a new one is due to come out in May.

I don't know that much from the trailer but I did learn this...

Remember those atomic bomb tests back in the 50s in the pacific ? they lied..they weren't tests..
...they were trying to kill it. They didn't
..and now...were all in deep trouble. He's baaakkk, he's big, really big, and he's pissed.

Met someone from Yokohama today. 2014/3/2 10:09
While at the roulette wheel in a casino here in Las Vegas I noticed the dealer had "Japan" printed on her name tag, below her name.
We conversed for a while & she mentioned, among other things, she left Yokohama 15 yrs ago.
She was really pleasant, attractive, spoke English well & was asking me about my experiences there.
It's a small world!

Itou City 2014/3/12 19:39
Hi, there

My family went to travel of the Shizuoka prefecture, "Itou" for three days.
It is a resort near a Kanagawa prefecture (Yokohama). Since there is warm, cherry blossoms are already beginning.
We enjoyed the seafood dinner and the hot spring.

This movie clip is "January in Japan".

Re: Yokohama Navy Exchange was where? 2014/4/15 12:09
Hello,

Today's Yokohama is fine.
Temperature is 70F. Every year, much pollen spreads this season.
And cherry blossoms fall with strong wind and rain.

Although I photoed beautiful night view of Sankeien Garden, since I do not have SNS, cannot upload. They were sent to my friends.

This link is the nostalgic pictures of Yokohama and Yokosuka, new pics uploaded. EM of Yokosuka is interesting. I went there with my parents when I was kid.

Hello there! One of the last times I was on here I was singing the praises of taking home a CD Player to my 89 year old Mother and reintroducing music back into her life. That was a year ago, and she no longer watches much TV. She listens to Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole most of the day, and says life is calmer and happier!
Steffi suggested a DVD Player, which I bought, and she loves William Holden, Frank, of course, and George Clooney is a "crush" of hers!
My last Post was on a sad note about the Boston Marathon. It is with great pride and gladness I can post a celebratory congratulations to a fine Boston Run!
May 3 I will be flying to N'Awlins for a weeks vacation with four of my high school girlfriends, from my days in Yokohama, Japan. We have some primo dinner reservations at some top restaurants, Commander's Palace, August, Muriel's, and Galatoire's. My Birthday falls during the trip and I have scheduled an Airboat Adventure in the Swamps. Should be fun!
It is wonderful to see so many of the same Familiar Contributors to the Forum with Peter leading the Troops! I applaud your dedication!

I lived on Bay View in a two bedroom home from 1965 till 1968 overlooking Tokyo Bay. Worked at the 106th General Hospital at Kishine Barracks. First child was born during this time. Great Memories of the early years of my marriage and life-long friends.

I was at the 106th from Jan 1967 to Aug 1968. I was an E-4 and worked in the Chief Nurse's Office. I lived off post at Hakuraku Mansion. Where did you work?
