Hi, just encountered the same problem after a few purchases and some new work material. Ginza Karen (and Shinjuku Karen) have reasonable quality hardshells for \5400 each -- regardless of size. I bought a 28 inch suitcase around noon, and took it around all day to meetings, art galleries and restaurants... until finally getting back to my hotel in Shinjuku at 10:30pm. No problems with the wheels over all kinds of roads/sidewalks, which bodes well for international travel. Very happy with purchase so far.
