Just wondering... When we encounter a Japanese name written in kanji, generally do we read it in kun-yomi or on-yomi?

Hello, I'm just wondering what my brother's and my chinese name is like in Japanese. Both of our surnames are äï which I think is pronounced as "sai". So here goes:
My brother: Žq í zi1 and chang2 (pinyin) I think the first character sounds like ko alone.
Me: “~›Z do1ng and me2i (pinyin) the first character sounds like fuyu alone.
thank you!

Usually we have two pronunciations, kun-reding and on-reading, for one Chinese character. Kun-reading is Japanese word. On-reading is the pronunciation which originated from ancient Chinese language. We call names of Chinese people with on-reading. (For example, we pronounce EŽq as "kou shi".)
@Michelle, what you have written, ko and huyu, are kun-reading. Japanese people pronounce your brotherfs name as "Sai shi jyo". Žq shi í jyo And your name will be pronounced as "Sai tou bi" “~ tou ›Z bi
@ Matt Japanese people pronounce your name as "Chin toku sai". ’Â chin “¿ toku Ë sai
@‰©‰Ã‰C Probably Japanese people pronounce your name as "Ko ka in" or "Ou ka in" ‰© Ko or Ou ‰Ã ka ‰C in
