Tottori Earthquake Information

A strong earthquake hit Tottori Prefecture in the afternoon of October 21, causing a few injuries and damage to several hundred buildings close to the epicenter around Kurayoshi City. None of the destinations listed in our sightseeing guide suffered any damage, and the earthquake's impact on transportation was minor. As of October 22, all train lines in the region have resumed service.
