Chureito Pagoda••

The Chureito Pagoda is a recently built pagoda in the hills of Fujiyoshida City across from Mount Fuji attracts photographers around the year, but particularly so in mid April during the cherry blossom season when the pagoda seems to float in a sea of cherry blossoms. Light conditions are best in the early morning.

Northern Shores of Kawaguchiko••

Trees along the northern shores of Lake Kawaguchiko provide the magnificent sight of Mount Fuji in combination with the lake and cherry blossoms. The most attractive spot for viewing the blossoms is the lakeside promenade east of the Kawaguchiko Music Forest.

The waterfront along the eastern shores of Lake Kawaguchiko around the Mount Fuji Panoramic Ropeway's lower station and the town's many ryokan is decorated by cherry trees, including many weeping cherry trees.

Iyashi no Sato

Tucked away on the western shores of Lake Saiko is Iyashi no Sato, an open air museum and traditional craft village. The main street of the village is lined with weeping cherry trees and offers views of Mount Fuji.

Oshino Hakkai

30 minutes by Gotemba Bus A Line from Kawaguchiko Station
Cherry trees line about 400 meters of the river on the northwestern side of Oshino Hakkai. The most popular view is from the bridge not far from the Shibokusa Sengen Shrine where Mount Fuji can be seen behind the cherry trees on clear days.
