The following is a suggested itinerary for first time travelers to Japan who spend 11 days, 10 nights in the Kanto Region around Tokyo.

Day 1 - Arrive at Narita Airport

Arrive at Narita Airport, and spend the remaining day in Tokyo.

Spend three full days in Tokyo. Consider our suggested Tokyo itineraries.

Purchase a Nikko Pass and use it to take a two day trip to Nikko, two hours north of Tokyo.

Undertake a one day trip to Kamakura, one hour south of Tokyo.

Undertake a one day trip to Yokohama, 30 minutes south of Tokyo.

Purchase a 2-day Hakone Free Pass and use it to take a two day trip to Hakone. Stay at a ryokan and experience a Japanese hot spring. Avoid weekends.

Depart Japan from Narita Airport.
