Translation regarding hotel plans 2013/3/18 20:37
Hi,
I have a little trouble understanding these hotel reservation plans. I cant really make out if all of them have breakfast included in the rate or not. There are three different plans,
one ECO, one 30 days in advance and then one 15 days in advance.

They all have the sign (the green box with "with breakfast" written in Japanese), but the top one "eco" in the text says no breakfast is included, and that they don't clean the room, so they say a bargain if you stay for multiple nights.

Here are the meanings of these icons.

朝食付 Breakfast included
インターネット Internet available
温水洗浄トイレ Warm shower toilet
禁煙ルーム No smoking room
駅徒歩5分 5 minutes' walk from the nearest station
早割プラン Discount plan for early reservation (30 days or 14 days in advance)
ビジネス応援 Suitable for business trip

So these three plans include breakfast.

Good catch!
The subject of the eco plan specifies that "朝食付き♪" and a green icon-button says "朝食付".
But description specifies that "&朝食なし"...

BTW, the eco plan on the Rakuten travel have breakfast included.

I think maybe they incorrectly wrote it, but outsiders can't really make out.
You might want to ask them.

I sent them an e-mail this morning, no reply yet. Used google translate so maybe they think I am a crazy fool not understanding Japanese.

Anyway, you're right it is very confusing. I could have made reservations through Jalan, Rakuten or something but for some reason they set the rate a lot higher than the hotel's rate. I don't know if it could be so that the rate drops the closer the date it comes...

Same confusion about the non-smoking symbol. the first and third plan has this non-smoking symbol but the second does not. Still I can choose smoking or non-smoking room on all plans...

The cleaning I do not really care about, as long as I don't have to pay any cleaning fee after.

Re: Translation regarding hotel plans 2013/3/19 21:12
I think they copied this a bit cheaper plan and forget to correct.

This is 素泊まり(sudomari; just only staying without meals).

And I sent them too. If it's in Tokyo, I can call them, but they are only in Hokkaido and Okinawa.

Maybe no one find this mistake before...(^-^;

You mean they copied the text from that plan on the link to the one that among "my" plans had the "asagohan nashi" stuff?

Maybe they will correct it now that two persons have commented on this. But I hope it is a good hotel overall even though they have some possible errors in their information.

What do you think of the non smoking part by the way? I'd rather go for the cheapest plan (30 days advance) than the ECO plan, but since it has a symbol missing of the non-smoking room then I am confused :O

Re: Translation regarding hotel plans 2013/3/19 23:40
Excuse my poor English.(x_x;
There are two choices, ダブルルーム or ダブルルーム【禁煙】(non-smoking) on the image that you uploaded.
So I think probably they forgot to append a blue "non-smoking room" symbol.
They have no reason why that plan is smoking rooms only.
Of course I can't assure anything...

Maybe it's a bit troublesome system or careless operater manage it?
I wish they often check their e-mail and reply quickly!

Yes they seem very slow replying. I wrote more than 12 hours ago. I sent a question about reserving as a foreigner (could not write a non Japanese address at first), then they did fast reply. By the way, appreciate your help :)

Hi!(^-^)/
They corrected the description of ECO plan.
http://reserve.rasso.co.jp/book/detail.asp?id=20100002&plan=82&room=1

Again, I ask them about "non-smoking room" symbol.

Apparently I had a reply too, had appeared in my SPAM folder. Maybe they dont like japanese characters in the mail, could be terrorists they might think. Silly mail account...
