Visa prepaid credit card - translation 2013/4/20 11:23
Can someone translate this page?
http://vpc.lifecard.co.jp/

I'm mainly wonder:
-do you have to register these cards or can I use it immediately?
-does the unused value decrease every month?
-what amounts are these cards sold in? I only need it to pay for Amazon Prime.

It's a "prepaid" card, not a credit card.

- You have to create your account online with V PRECA.
- If you don't use it for over three months, they deduct 125 yen as account maintenance fee. (Upon initial purchase, there is a 200 yen purchase fee.)
- They come in 3,000, 5,000, or 10,000 yen. Valid for one year, you cannot top up the amount.

Thanks AK. I understand that this card is prepaid, but it can be used wherever VISA is accepted right?

"Alphabets need to be in single byte, capital letter
Numbers need to be in single byte
Hiragana need to be double byte"

...is what I see on their website FAQ.
