Wearing a kilt in Japan

Hello, I am a Scotsman planning to visit Japan this summer. I was wondering what the reaction would be to a person wearing a kilt in Japan, I'd be wearing it casually with a shirt/tshirt like I do here on occasion. Would I be offending anyone by baring my milkywhite legs to the Japanese populace?
Many thanks.

Its not a freaky site to see Japanese guys in yukatas, its not an issue. Odd question though, I lived in Scotland many years but never saw people wearing kilts casually.

Takeda's ghost, you were in the lowlands maybe?
Anyway, I had forgotten about this thread and that website I referenced in it, so thanks to the poster who pulled that up from the depths.
To theoriginal poster, if youforget to pack your kilt, you can rent one here:

Yeah, near Glasgow mostly, but I've visited the Highlands and didn't see much difference in kilt wearing (well, except for more touristy stuff)

Maybe you weren't there long enough, or you were not inclined to notice...

There is always at least one person casually wearing a kilt at Edinburgh airport, guaranteed.
