Reading a signature 2013/6/9 16:50
Greeetings out there.
Bought a beautiful what seems to be a 18th-19-century Japanese hanging scroll, but cannot read the signature. Is there a kind soul that might help me out, please?
Thanks,

Please post a photo (or a few) on a free photo site, such as Flickr, and post the link here :)

Dear Ak,
how awfully kind of you to take your time to try and help me out. However, I,m new to this site, and do not know how to use the programme "Flickr" or where to place my phtofiles there or at this forum.
Can you help me with this action first, please?
Lots of thanks for your patience.
Kind regards
Flemming, Denmark

If you google "Flickr," you will find:
http://www.flickr.com/

It's a photo sharing site, so you can sign up, post your photo there, then you can paste the link here on this forum. It doesn't have to be Flickr, but that's the one I know (and many other Forum users use).

Flemming,

You cannot directly attach photos to the question on this forum. That is why you need to post photos on a public photo-sharing site first, and then copy and paste the URL of your photo page into this question box.

Flemming,

Yes, you got it!
...Unfortunately, though, I cannot decipher the signature/seal... I hope someone else can...

Only experts can read this, I think...
How about asking them in antique art sites or something?

Thanks everybody for trying. I guess an art museum dealing with Japanese art in particular perhaps will do the trick, though perhaps it will be difficult to get someone spending the time to investigate it.
ILll see what lies ahead.
Again thanks to all of you.
Kind regards
