Where can I buy mini Joya no Kane? 2013/12/4 01:59
Where in Tokyo I can buy the miniature (model) of Joya no Kane (the bell which is rung during the new year time at Japanese Temples)?
One of my friends had seen such kind of small model (approx. 30 CM in height) at Oriental Bazaar in Harajuku couple of years ago. But I am not able to find such mini model in any of the website. Can someone help?

Regards

I think you can buy it at buttism goods store( Butsugu-ten 仏具店). there are a lot in Asakusa.

除夜の鐘 (joya-no-kane) actually means the bell in a temple rang around the midnight of 31st December, not the name of the bell itself.
The bell is called 梵鐘 (bonsho) and as suggested by the previous poster, you might find it at one of the 仏具店.
