Marizon Fukuoka open for visit?

I have seen this place called Marizon by the Momochi Seaside Park in Fukuoka. However there is a gate there with a guard (?) so I never dared getting close to it. Is it a public place or just for parties with invitation?

Alrighty. I did not think there was a boat there or a walkway to it. Thank you for your information.
By the way. What could a wedding cost in the Marizon? Is it very luxurious like 1 000 000 yen?

According to the web site of Marizon, the plan of 791,600 yen (Net of tax) is shown in the case of 20 people invited guests. There is no information of their other. I guess the contents and weddings season, it fluctuates. http://www.marizon.jp/wedding-plan/I don't know details about the wedding business. Probably, I think the rate of the ceremony is about 1 million yen usually.

Wow wow. Well that's a bit past my budget haha... I think it would be a hard time getting 20 guests from abroad anyway.
Maybe we should just try making our honeymoon there instead, now with direct flight from Amsterdam to Fukuoka and all.
Thank you for your help!

Only the wedding hall area is off limits unless you have a reservation there. But the rest of the pier has shops etc and anyone can go there. Be sure to see more of the area - the Fukuoka Tower is nearby, as well as Hawks Town for some shopping. If you want a nice view but don't want to pay the fee, then go up to near the top of the Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk hotel - you don't get the 360 view, but you can still get some killer views of the city. If you are going to go all over the city, look into a tourist pass like on http://yokanavi.com/access_tourist_egThere is also some good info on sightseeing on: http://www.tinyurl.com/see-fukuoka
