So how is 人人 usually pronounced? ninnin or hitobito Which is best to use?

We usually pronounce "hitobito". I've never say "hitohito".
(for your infomation, we normally don't use "人人" when you mean people. we write "人々". [々] is a ditto.)

Repeat words using 々 often read by kun-yomi and the second one with sonant mark like 細々(hosoboso), 時々(tokidoki), 日々(hibi). By the way, I don't know how to pronounce 々 itself.(lol
