Heaviest absorbency feminine products? 2014/11/2 17:10
I have severe heavy periods and require ultra absorbency tampons with heavy flow overnight pads for backup. When I stayed a few months in Japan last year, I brought a pretty good stash from the US but needed to get pads there. I bought the overnight super but it may as well have been for light flow given my needs. What are the strongest brands/stores that sell them, and is there anywhere to get Ultra tampons without ordering from overseas? Planning a long term return but really concerned about this issue...thanks in advance!

You have a terrible user name for the topic...

Maybe this will help... but since pads are preferred you may be out of luck. Maybe think about getting a diva cup?

Thanks, I'm glad to know there's at least Super Plus (heaviest I saw there was Super which is useless for me), although Ultra is way better for me. Any idea what pads are the heaviest/most reliable brands? I need both at all times of day.

Sorry, I buy whatever is convenient, so no personal recs from me. I hope that someone who also has heavy flow can answer that for you!

This is an article about pads:

I've pretty much stopped using Japanese brands and rely on the foreign buyers club to send big packs when I need more of anything of that nature. It takes awhile to get them and since you're buying a big pack its a bit expensive at one time, but it's worth it to not have to constantly worry about it. I wish I could be more helpful, but even costco doesn't carry non-Japanese brands it seems. :/

Try these.

Pad;
"Elis Perfect Block 400(12 sheets)

Tampon;
"Sofy Soft Tampon Super Plus"(25)

You can purchase them at major supermarkets, discount stores, drug stores and pharmacy.

Thanks, Super Plus is a little light for me but I can at least use it in a pinch. I'll have to look into this Foreign Buyers Club thing.

Huh, it looks like FBC doesn't carry Ultra unfortunately, even though some of their brands come in it. Do they take product requests seriously?

Yes, actually, I've requested a salad dressing from them before (they carried others of the brand) and they were super prompt in replying to me, as well as carrying it on the website. I'm sure they can work with you if you email them.
