Hi, A bit of an odd question maybe but I know there is a big kind of symbiosis between human and nature in Japan. I was thinking if there are any books or documentaries about this?
I have heard of something called Satoyama something, maybe is the same?

You may want to take a look at Shintoo. I only know very little about it (hopefully some Japanese can verify it), but among the Kami in Shintoo (kind of Gods; but not like "the God" in christianity), I believe there are also many related to nature and/or animals. This could be what you are thinking of.
Other than that, I am unaware of a special bond between nature and mankind in Japan.

Alright :) Thank you. Maybe it is the architecture I was thinking about, not sure. The way buildings adapt into nature. Sorry if I confuse you.

BBC has done some documentaries about Satoyama. Google BBC Satoyama and you'll find info on them.
