Hi,
I plan to visit this places by bus or train in Kyoto. I'll be coming from Karasumaoike station.
1st day - Arashiyama 2nd day- Fushimi Inari & Uji
These places are outside of main Kyoto and I'm thinking to spend there the whole day. Please tell me which bus no, rail or subway should I take going to these places.
Please don't mention about using the city bus pass because I'm planning to use that on other days.
Thank you

From Karasumaoike you should take trains. For Arashiyama you can take the Tozai Line west to either Nijo and change to the Saga Line to Saga Arashiyama Station, or change at Uzumasatenjingawa for the Randen trains to Arashiyama. Personally I would do the latter itinerary as it drops you off right in central Arashiyama. For Fushimi Inari and Uji take the Tozai Line east to the Sanjo Station where you can transfer to Keihan line south to your destinations. Check out this page to orient yourself in Kyoto: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2363.htmlPlease don't mention about using the city bus pass because I'm planning to use that on other days. Not sure what you mean by this as you can buy multiple bus passes and use them on multiple days.
