How to get from Mt Koya to Naoshima

We are travelling there in April, during the week.

From Mt. Koya head into Osaka and catch the train from there to Okayama. From Okayama you can catch a ferry over to Naoshima.

Just to slightly amend Goober's post above..

From Okayama, you need to take the local train to Uno (about 50 mins) and then take the ferry from there.

The Benesse website has links to the ferry timetables.

And if you have any time to spare (between trains) in Okayama, then the garden there is very good, as is the tonkatsu restaurant upstairs in the train station.

If you are in a rush and just manage to jump on the train to Uno without having had lunch, there's nothing to be had on the train, but there's a combini just outside the station at Uno, which you pass as you walk the couple of hundred yards from the station to the ferry terminal.
