Best resort for early December skiing?

A family of four and first ski trip to Japan so hoping for best chance of snow.

No snow in ski resorts in early December even though it's in Hokkaido.
You need to visit somewhere snow machines make artificial snow there such as Karuizawa.

As mentioned, the only guaranteed skiing is at resorts that open early with artificial snow. Snow Town Yeti at the base of Mount Fuji and Karuizawa Prince are the two main ones that come to mind and each opens around November. I've done early season skiing at both and personally, I prefer Karuizawa. Expect it to be crowded.

Thank you both for your advice, seems like Karuizawa may be the best option.
