is it convenient to get the tokyo metro pass if travelling from shinjuku area to tokyo. shinjuku to disneyland/sea
sightseeing around tokyo?

Which one, there are several. If you mean the Metro Open Ticket note that it doesn't cover access to Disneyland. Otherwise it's a moderately good deal if you will use subways extensively, but is probably less convenient than using an IC card like suica or pasmo.
