Overnight luggage storage in Tokyo

I'm planning to have a holiday in Japan and plan to travel to Tokyo, Okinawa, Kyoto, Osaka. I don't want to bring our big luggage around and plan to leave it in Tokyo.
Could anyone give me information about where I can leave my luggage in Tokyo for 2 - 3 days please?
Thanks Aldo

Your initial hotel in Tokyo should probably keep your luggage for a few days, up to a week, for you. Ask when you get there. Alternately, use http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2278.htmlto send it to where oyu would like to collect it on your return to Tokyo.

If in the unlikely event that the hotel arrangement didn't work out, you can consider leaving your luggage in lockers located within the train stations. That was what I did last nov where I left my luggage in a locker at Tokyo Station. They allow users to use that locker up to a max of 3 days.
Not sure if the same applies to lockers in other train stations too. Just check with the station staff.
