Judging from your user profile, I think you should spend a couple of days in Tokyo for the theme parks (Disney), some gardens (e.g. Rikugien, Koishikawa Korakuen), art museum and night life. And then head out of Tokyo.
Direction of Nagano could be a good idea, where you can see Matsumoto Castle, Zenkoji Temple and the Northern Alps for the outdoors and onsen.

Hi. Last year in May we went to Matsumoto, Kamikouchi, and Karuizawa. Not much in the way of nightlife in Kamikouchi unless you are talking about bears and monkeys, but it was a great time of year and the places we stayed (onsen hotel Kamikouchi, Tsuruya ryokan Karuizawa) were excellent.

With a short trip you might like to be based in one place (Tokyo) and add a couple of excursions (Fuji, Nikko, Nagano) - nothing too far otherwise you spend all your time changing city.
A second option is to do a couple of days Tokyo and a couple in Kyoto/Osaka.
