Suggested itinerary from japan-guide.com? 2015/2/17 15:16
Is this guide any good in your opinion?

I'll be spending 3 weeks in Japan and I want to see as much as possible. This guide looks pretty solid, but then again I'm a first time traveler to Japan.

Thoughts?

Japan-guide is quite reliable, you can always get more details about concrete questions in the forums or in specialist websites.

This is sample itinerary :

Are you joking, OP?
This website is excellent.
6 trips to Japan and I'm yet to find anywhere remotely as good.

That itinerary of course is good but it really depends what you want to see, do and your budget of course.

Personally I would focus Tokyo and Kyoto/Osaka is bases and do day trips like that plus also Mt Fuji and somewhere in Alps like Takayama or Kanazawa.

Hope this helps!!

Have fun!!

I'm with Winter Visitor on this one. I've been to Japan four times, and I have used this guide on all four trips. I've never done one of the escorted tours, except for a daily bus tour of an area.

The itineraries are good, but you can also put your own trip together fairly easily if your interests differ.
I've been to a lot of the places on those itineraries, and a lot of places that aren't, but I've never actually followed one of the itineraries.
I have made extensive use of this website for every trip, though, and I'm very grateful that it's here and would recommend it to anyone.
Happy planning!

This is a very good site for all the information you require, June 2015 will be my 3rd time, and I have planned a 8 full days in japan, since October when I booked my airline ticket, my itinerary has changed a lot from time to time with all the information provided.

With my first time to japan I got all the information for here, and asked question for stuff I cannot find, made a 7 day trip to Tokyo with side trip to Enoshima and other places, the trip was perfect.

Taking account of the train times and place to visit in the area, and the price, you can plan a perfect trip to meet your expectation, do what you want and go where you want.

My second trip was also planned the same, but side trips were further away from Tokyo.

This year I've including side trip to rural area's whiles renting a car for 3 days. You learn to plan the trip better with more experience.

Majority of the information was from this site and with help from many regular members with full knowledge of japan, you will get first hand updated information.

Try to put your own trip together, if you need help, just post here.
