Distilled water in Japan 2015/2/17 21:38
Where can I buy distilled water in Japan (for a nasal vaporizer)? I was told to go into any konbini but when I showed them the Kanji for 蒸留水 the clerk pointed to the regular natural mineral water eg: Evian. I couldn't see distilled water anywhere. Is 蒸留水 the right Kanji for this request, and if so, where does one obtain it? Cheers!

You might be better off going to a drug store or the equivalent section of a supermarket.

Combini doesn't have distilled water.
Visit drug stores(eg, Matsumoto-Kiyoshi), discount stores(eg, Donki), and/or supermarkets pharmacy section and ask for "Seisei-sui"(精製水). It's around 100 yen per bottle(500ml).
