"Car rental with chauffeur" is more commonly called "taxi".

Really? It will be exorbitantly expensive!
Are you worried about using the train combinations to get to Koyasan?
It is quite straightforward.
Nankai Railways have trains direct to Nankai Namba station, which is the start of where the train goes to Koyasan

[Nankai Railways operates direct trains between Kansai Airport and Nankai Namba Station. Express trains take around 45 minutes and cost 920 yen (non-reserved seats only), while limited express trains ("Rap:t") take around 35 minutes and cost 1430 yen (reserved seats only).
From Nankai Namaba you then get the Koyasan World Heritage ticket

What time do you arrive in Kansai? If you are coming in on the Jetstar flight, ie arriving in the evening, then you may need to stay overnight in Namba (Swiss Hotel is right above the Nankai Namba station) and go to Koyasan the next day.
Post more questions if you need more help.

Thanks AusTF.
Our flight due to arrive at 11.20am, then we need to arrange our baggages to be transfer Tokyo and we probably leave Kansai Airport by 1pm.

We need to check in at the temple lodge by 5pm so we are a bit nervous with the public transports that we might miss that check in.

Koyasan World Heritage ticket is such a good deal. Can we use the ticket from Kansai airport rather then from Namba station?
Many Thanks

No, its from Namba or ShinImamiya, but you may well be able to purchase it at Kansai, and they will work out the times for you.
You should make it by 5pm

There is a World Heritage Ticket from Kansai Airport.

I think you can get off at Shin-Imamiya or Namba when you return from Koyasan. Namba to Kansai Airport sector will be invalid in this case. Also if you get off somewhere in between Kansai AP and Koyasan, the ticket will be invalid after that.

I can not find the page, but there should be a version which includes limited express fare for NAmba/Shin-Imamiya to Gokurakubashi (the train terminal, after which you will get a cable car).

As you see, change train at Shin-Imamiya: this will be the fastest way. In any case, you should ask the station staff at NANKAI'S Kansai airport station for more detail: I think you can get off at Namba or Shin-Imamiya when you come back from Koyasan, but it might not be allowed. You may also ask the fastest of easiest transfer method: the time-table given above allow you only 4 min transfer time at Shin-Imamiya which is enough for those who familiar with Shin-Imamiya station, but it might be tough for the first-timer. The station staff will show you the best way. You may better print out the hyperdia page and show it to the staff.

Enjoy your trip!
