Kansai Area Rail Pass or Kansai Thru Pass

During our trip from the first of April 2015, we plan to

1. reach Nara from KIX Osaka International airport

2. use this Rail Pass to travel within Nara and a trip to Mount Yoshino.

3. travel from Nara to Kyoto

4. use this Rail Pass to travel within Kyoto and a trip to Arashiyama, west of Kyoto

Please advise if Kansai Area Rail Pass or Kansai Thru Pass is more suitable

Mount Yoshino to Nara - 1140yen
Nara to Kyoto - 710yen
Kyoto to Arashiyama - 240yen
Arashiyama to Kyoto - 240yen

Assuming you are using regular trains back to KIX

Total 4950yen on single tickets

JR Kansai Area Pass 4days 6170yen
JR Kansai Wide Area Pass 4days 7200yen
Kansai Thru Pass 3 days 5200yen

I believe the answer is no, the passes are not worth to buy.
