1 night stop in Kanazawa, Matsumoto or Nagoya

Hello everyone!
I'm travelling from Kyoto to Takayama, (towards Mt Fuji after) and I have one additional night to spend somewhere around, between these two.
I will spend 2 nights in Takayama, visiting Shirakawa, and/or Kamikochi. I was thinking about Kazanawa, Nagoya, Matsumoto or even staying in Magome. I don't know if any of these make sense to go for one day.
Any suggestions?

I would recommend dropping one night in Takayama and making it two nights in Kanazawa. Three if possible.
That said, one day in Kanazawa would leave you feeling disappointed as you would have missed out in such great attractions.
Thus, please choose another place. Nagoya is a pleasant city, which I only use as a relaxing day or two between weeks of hectic travel.
