Hi all, I'd like to have preferences on ryokan with good kaiseki, preferable if comes with onsen. My flight is to Tokyo but I don't mind travelling to other prefecture. E.g. is it too far to go to Iwate for a ryokan experience?

Gooday. I havent been to Iwate but Hakone would be littered with them (can vouch for Lalaca at Gora), also Iwamotoro Honkan at Enoshima (bonus is views of Mt Fuji in the morning if you are lucky), or Tsuruya at Karuizawa. Tsuruya is probably my pick if you've not been to a ryokan before, it is also really handy to Tokyo by shinkansen.

Many ryokans have Kaiseki, and I haven't had a bad Kaiseki experience.
Just choose any. Go to any prefecture, city, ryokan. A good experience awaits you!
