JR East Pass or JR Kanto Pass better

Arrive Tokyo on Mar 3, stay at Grand pacific Le Daiba and plan to shop around shopping area including Mitsui Kisarazu outlet, Gotemba outle.
Mar 5-06 , go to Kayabuki No Sato Yakuhsi Onsen Hatago (understand it is on Gunma prefecture).
Mar 6-7, Tokyo, shopping

You never leave the Kanto Region. Therefore, the JR East Pass makes no sense over the Kanto Area Pass.
The Kanto Area Pass will provide some savings over regular train ticket for going to Gunma (unless you go there by local trains in which case regular tickets are cheaper - but it takes much longer to go there).
The Kanto Area Pass could also be used for the trip to Kisarazu and for part of the train journey to Gotemba (as far as Kozu, but not beyond). However, note that the two malls are in completely different locations and very inconvenient to visit on the same day.
All in all, the Kanto Area Pass can be useful.
