Camping and Hiking in Hokkaido in April

Hi everyone I will be in Tokyo for a week in early april, and really want to do a multi-day(3-5 days) hike and wild camping, and wondering if it is doable in Hokkaido. Somewhere isolated/quiet away from people would be nice.
Any routes to recommend? Daisetsuzan Grand Traverse would be nice but I believe it is not doable in april?
Regards

April is too early!
The mountains where multi-day hikes are possible are still covered under a lot of snow during April. It is not until June or July that the Daisetsuzan Traverse becomes possible for the regular hiker.
