hi since im a student in japan. im planning to do a long trip around honshu area and the starting point will be in tokyo. is there any cheap way for transportation since i cannot use the japan railway pass?

If you break your journey E.g. Western, Eastern Japan
You could get the JR East Pass and the JR Kansai Pass.

Or perhaps the Seishun 18 kippu

Not sure which passes until you build your itinerary. I would just pick locations first that you want to go to and then come back to the passes to see which ones could fit your itinerary.
