So, someone told me that meat is cheaper in meat shops than in the supermarket. Does any one here know of any such shops in Kashiwa or Abiko? Thanks a bunch!

it is not always true.
some meat shops may sell at lower prices, probably because they can buy meat from different routes. but, generally, those are rare.
