JR pass covered Ltd Express? 2015/3/16 16:14
Hi

I'll be taking several limited express trains to some of the places. Can I check does JR pass cover the below limited express train:-

1) Ltd Exp (Wide View) Hida
2) Ltd Exp Thunderbird
3) Ltd Exp Konotori
4) Ltd Exp Kuroshio
5) Ltd Exp Super Hakuto
6) Meitetsu Ltd Exp
7) Ltd Exp Haruka
8) Nankai Koya Line Exp

Your answer could help me if the 7 days JR pass should be purchased.

thanks.

if it is not necessary to buy the JR pass. do you think purchase a Suica card will be also convenience to travel around?

does Suica card differentiate like JR Suica or subway Suica card? or 1 Suica card can be used for all track and shinkasen?

i'll be traveling takayama, toyama, tateyama mount, osaka, nara & kyoto. 1 suica can be used for all these places?

Depends on your itinerary.

Just for traveling within a region. The IC cards can't be used to travel between regions.

No, they are good on all local trains. Shinkansen are not covered however.

i'll be traveling takayama, toyama, tateyama mount, osaka, nara & kyoto. 1 suica can be used for all these places?

Yes and no. You can't use it to go from Kyoto to Takayama for example, but travel within osaka and kyoto is possible. I suggest you read this page:
