Kyoto straight to Hakuba or Tokyo to Hakuba 2015/3/23 15:30
Hi,

I'm working on my itinerary for my upcoming trip to Japan Could someone tell me whether I should I move from Kyoto straight to Hakuba then come back to Tokyo or I have to move from Kyoto then tokyo then Hakuba?

I only have three destinations to visit during my trip: KYOTO, TOKYO & HAKUBA

Much appreciate if someone can help me out.

Thanks!

Which date and time?
How many days stay each?
Using by Japan Rail Pass or other?
How to get in Kyoto and out after Tokyo?

Kyoto to Hakuba no need via Tokyo
by bus or JR LtdExp train to Nagano city or Matsumto city
then take JR local train or bus.
or by JR trains via Kanazawa,Toyama also easier open google map.

Thanks Phi for your advice.

My intinerary is
13 Nov – arrived Narita at 1pm
20 Nov 2015 – depart time 1.50pm
it it quite a bit far though but I am too excited to plan it by now.

My 8D 7N intinerary is
* Narita Airport – Tokyo ½ day of 13 Nov, next morning move to Kyoto
* Kyoto (3days) 14,15,16 Nov
*Habuka (2days) 17,18 Nov
* Tokyo 19 Nov, ½ 20 Nov: maybe I can not go anywhere in the morning of 20 Nov, instead, go straight to the airport.

I will use JR PASS. If I take option JR LtdExp train to Nagano city or Matsumoto city/
then take JR local train or bus. Will the route be covered by JR Pass.

I honestly got confused with JR stuff after finding this link: http://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/arrange/transportation/discount/railways.htm...
