Nozawa Onsen 2015/4/9 19:09
Hi, are Nozawa Onsens' Ryokan's Onsens open to the public like the ones for Kusatsu/Mazda?

I've read that the sotoyu ones are open to the public but would like experience an outdoor onsen this time.

To be fair, if you want a great outdoor onsen, Nozawa wouldn't be your first choice.
The public ones are entertaining- some of them are tiny, most of them are basic, they're all various degrees of scalding, and they're unique and memorable.
When in Rome, etc. I'd really think twice about not trying the
Public ones and looking elsewhere for a great rotemburo experience.

Hi, thanks for replying.
Yeah, the public ones look really great but have been looking around and so far the ones that are coming up has tiny sized onsen I'd feel embarrassed going naked so close to a stranger lol sorry

From our experience in ski season, you often have them to yourself.
