Hello, I'd like to catch a taxi in Narita City to reach my hotel Ana Crowne Plaza Narita which is 6 km. away, only 10 minutes ride. Does anyone know how much should I pay , more or less , please? Furthermore it will be at 11 p.m. or around midnight. Is there an extra fare? Thanks a lot for your reply !

My mistake, I assumed you were travelling from the airport. 6 Km makes it more like 2500-3000 yen including late night surcharge. If you tell us around where in Narita will you be leaving from we might be able to give you a more accurate estimate.

I suggest that you will prepare 3000 yen in 1000-yen banknotes.

Taxi fees in Japan are higher by roughly 20 percent during late and early hours (10 p.m. or 11 p.m. - 5 a.m.). A taxi fee is increased at shorter intervals of distance during these hours.
Typical taxi rate in Chiba Prefecture during 10 p.m. - 5 a.m. (concerning a taxi car for up to 4 adult passengers) : 730 yen for up to 1667 meters. : 90 yen per about 240 meters when a taxi runs further. : 90 yen per 105 seconds when a taxi runs slowly (at 10 km/h or less).
(6500 - 1667) meters / 240 meters = 20.1375. 730 yen + (21 x 90) yen = 2620 yen.

For a taxi from Narita station to Intl Garden Hotel Narita (1.9km according to Google Maps) around midnight, I paid about 1000 yen if my memory is right, so 3000 yen for 6km sounds about right indeed.
