I'll be visiting Japan (Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo) next month do you have any recommended Japan GPS apps for Iphone and/or map data for Garmin devices?

Google maps works great in Japan. Best with a data connection, but workable without one if you are diligent in saving offline maps.

That's great, I'll be accompanying with a friend who already visited Japan before. He told me that you can be given a pocket Wifi so I guess data connection will be active. Thanks!
