Hi Everyone,
I have a working visa until May 31st. I will finish my job on March 28th. I have a flight booked for mid May.
I really want to travel around Japan. Can I switch to a temporary visa and get a JR pass?

In principle, yes. Go to immigration with an application for a change of status, and see what they say.
