Will my Samsung phone work in Japan? 2015/12/20 15:24
I'm planning on moving to Japan next year, and I want to buy an international unlocked version of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (G925F) before I leave the United States.

Here are the network specs:
2G: GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
3G: HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100
4G: LTE 700 / 800 / 850 / 900 / 1700 (AWS) / 1800 / 1900 / 2100 / 2600 (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 18, 19, 26, 28)

I would like to know if this phone will work in Japan, particularly on NTT DoCoMo's network.

If someone who is proficient in Japanese can give a quick call to NTT DoCoMo and find out for me, I will really, really appreciate it. :-)

Thanks!
BJ

Technically it would work, but as far as I know, big carriers are not very keen on you bringing your own phone.
