Hi,
We have 2 used snowboards in very good conditions and we would like to sell them. We were told Hard-Off would only give us very little money so we are looking into other options. Do you know where we would try? We bought them 2nd hand in Niseko in the beginning of the season, each 25'000Yen.

Does Hokkaido have a group on facebook or a forum for ALTs/foreign residents? You might have some luck selling directly to someone instead of to a store.

Yes, direct sale will be your best bet if you want to maximize your return. Keep in mind they're probably not worth all that much, especially in an oversaturated market like Hokkaido.
